We find ourselves attempting to return to life, asking – Well, now what? We firmly believe that our great God wastes nothingIMG_3911. He has a plan and He desires for us to join Him in what He is already doing. We have set our hearts on Him and we are committed to seeking out His plan for us. God is in the business of healing. We know that His plan includes our healing but it doesn’t stop there. He is asking us to look outside of our loss, our pain. We have a vision to minister to families who are walking a similar road, who have had to say hello and goodbye at the same time.

In January of 2015, Julie will begin working towards gaining accreditation as a loss and bereavement doula. In short, she IMG_3833will begin learning how to support a family prior to, during and after birth in any trimester. She will be qualified to support families in all birth situations- live birth, miscarriage, stillbirth, subsequent birth after loss, etc.  This is just the first step. We feel as if the Lord has asked us to open our hearts to something even bigger- to open a resource center in the Northern Indiana area to provide comprehensive support and offer ongoing healing to family and friends of those affected by pregnancy and infant loss. We have no idea how this is going to work out or what it will look like. Quite honestly, it’s a little scary and overwhelming for us. The good news is that we have seen the darkest night and we have felt the loving hand of a Father who walks with us. He walked with us then, He walks with us now and He will walk with us into the future as we continue writing Macy’s story.

If you are interested in partnering with us, please consider purchasing a MacysStory.comIMG_3831 bracelet. A portion of the proceeds will go towards covering the costs of Julie’s training. Most importantly though, would you please join with us in prayer as we seek the Father’s heart? Pray that we would maintain soft hearts toward Him and towards those that He brings across our path. Pray that we are able to continue to seek our own personal healing and the healing of our children. And please, please pray that God receives the glory He so deserves.
